WHY DO I NEED MY BACKFLOW TESTED?

When you have your valve tested, you help ensure clean, safe drinking water for your community. The state of Washington requires backflow valves to be tested annually. (WAC 246-290-490)

Potable water contamination results from backflow or issues with cross-connections. Cross-connections are links where contaminants can enter a potable water distribution system. Contaminants may include, but are not limited to, fertilizers, pesticides, and dirty water into the potable water system.

Backflow valves connect to water pipes and prevent backflow by allowing water flow in one direction. The assemblies are used for commercial, industrial, and residential potable water systems. Backflow valves must be inspected annually by a certified Backflow Assembly Tester (BAT).  We are honored to provide this service to our community.
